So, it’s Fun Making Your Own chatGPT’s

Creating my own GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) is an activity that fills me with enthusiasm for learning and creativity. It’s akin to a captivating game, one where the rules are defined by imagination and the outcomes are boundless in potential. The process of fine-tuning a GPT through hands-on usage is not just a technical task; it’s an artistic journey that blends coding with creativity. The last time I felt this excited about about technology it was 1993 and I was 13 using photoshop 3 for the first time.
What excites me most about this journey is the element of personalization. Each adjustment, each line of code, each tweak, is a step towards creating something unique — a GPT that reflects not just the vast ocean of data it’s trained on, but also my personal touch. This is where the fun lies; in seeing a standard model transform into something bespoke, something that carries a part of my intellect and imagination. An due note, I have no experience as a coder — I have learned about GPT from GPT AND it has learned from me.
Moreover, the goal of developing a GPT that can provide more accurate and detailed information elevates this task from mere programming to a pursuit of excellence. It’s not just about feeding data and algorithms; it’s about nurturing a digital entity to understand and interpret the world more effectively. As a counselor educator, I hope to see it used a tool to deepen people’s empathy for themselves and others. Each successful iteration brings a sense of achievement, akin to a gamer conquering a challenging level-it is a process that feeds it’s self (and for me personally, gives me some sense of renewed hope during what still feels like a dark period in history).
But beyond the technicalities and the thrill of creation, what truly drives me is the desire to make learning and information dissemination more inclusive. I envision a GPT that not only excels in delivering precise and comprehensive information but does so in a manner that is accessible and understandable to a diverse audience. It’s about breaking down complex concepts into simpler, more digestible pieces, ensuring that knowledge becomes a universal currency, not limited by jargon or complexity. No more advocating for neuroinclusive assignments; students will self design their learning, keeping it current and learner-centered.
This project is more than a hobby; it’s a commitment to enhancing the way we interact with information. It’s about building a tool that can assist in learning, research, and even day-to-day inquiries in the most inclusive and effective way possible. The joy of seeing my GPT evolve, adapt, and improve is indescribable, and each day brings new challenges and opportunities to make it even better. My personal hope is it will lead to a renewed democratic voice for all.
Making my own GPT is a journey that combines the thrill of gaming, the creativity of art, and the rigor of technology. It’s a personal quest for excellence, a contribution to the field of AI, and a step towards making information more accessible and inclusive. Each day in this journey brings new insights, challenges, and a sense of accomplishment, as I witness my creation grow and evolve, much like an artist watching their masterpiece come to life. I am excited to share this journey with other visionaries and artists. Are you making any interesting gpt’s? Post your personalized gpt’s for the public n the comments. I look forward to connecting with you and building community : )
I believe you have to have a chatGPT membership to see shared gpt’s, but if you have an account and are also a counselor educator, consider checking out my cacrep neuroinclusive gpt:
