I love mindful walking.

Breathing in, I am breathing in. Breathing out, I am breathing out. There is nothing more centering and grounding then going for a walk. All of my senses ground me in the present moment. My state of awareness is just the present moment. I often wonder if walking and traveling are hard-wired into our DNA. I take a deep breathe in and feel my feet supporting me. When I go for mindfulness walks I sometimes like to play and include music or taking pictures of all the beautiful plants along the walk. I feel closest to truth and freedom in these moments. As I walk, I cultivate feelings of gratitude for the ability to walk, for the earth beneath my feet, and for the environment — this feels human.
