Self-compassion is a powerful antidote to many of life’s challenges. Here are some of the best quotes that touch upon the essence of self-compassion that you might also consider using affirmations. Each of these quotes reminded me how powerful my thoughts are in influencing my experience of reality and this experience we call life : )

Affirmations work best when you say them at least twice per day. Feel free to add your own to the comments:

  2. “Loving yourself isn’t vanity. It’s sanity.” — Katrina Mayer
  3. “To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.” — Oscar Wilde
  4. “The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely.” — Carl Jung
  5. “Having compassion for yourself means that you honor and accept your humanness.” — Kristin Neff
  6. “The only person who can pull me down is myself, and I’m not going to let myself pull me down anymore.” — C. JoyBell C.
  7. “Talk to yourself like you would to someone you love.” — Brené Brown
  8. “You have been criticizing yourself for years, and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens.” — Louise L. Hay
